Madison, WI (August 9, 2022) – TASC’s (Total Administrative Services Corporation) executive vice president of business development, Christian Rosenstock, participated in In Business magazine annual Health Care Roundtable. This year’s panel discussed the subject of inflation and its impact on health care premium costs for the 2023 plan year.
The expert panel also talked about some innovative solutions on the horizon and the importance of making sure their benefit strategy aligns with today’s labor shortage and war for talent — recession or no recession.
“What you have is an HR department struggling with a benefit package that has to attract and retain talent in this labor shortage, and to do that, it has to appeal to this increasingly diverse workforce. It has to provide employees with a sense that they get their benefits their way,” said Christian.
In addition, Christian discussed the significant role employee benefits play in premiums cost, what is happening nationally in terms of cost that could affect the area next year, and what are Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements ICHRA) and how do they work.
He also talked about the impact of the COVID pandemic, the move to remote workers and how TASC’s Universal Benefit Account® is nimble enough to set up new accounts to meet changing needs. “As people have to go work from home, being able to provide some tax-advantaged funds for people who now have to buy printers or chairs or paper or whatever supplies they need at home is a timely benefit and one that’s actually still in need and still growing in popularity.”
