TASC is honored to be featured on a recent episode of the television series “Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid.” The segment has been distributed to over 100 public television stations and is available to be used anytime throughout the United States over the next year. The award-winning program is widely known for highlighting stories that spotlight groundbreaking companies with innovative solutions. “Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid” is incredibly careful when selecting companies for its program. In addition to highlighting companies that develop unusual ways of solving problems, they also look for corporations that are good at helping people. TASC is proud to join the roster of influential organizations and individuals featured in Viewpoint.
TASC was contacted by Viewpoint while they were researching innovative companies in the employee benefits industry. In the episode we discussed the history of employee benefits, an industry plagued with siloed benefits created in response to constant changes to legislation. And the importance of employers today meeting the needs of a diverse workforce and how consumerism is driving the benefits that employees value and how they expect to use their benefits. We also explored the challenge that Health Insurance Brokers face today helping employers be compliant with legislation yet offer attractive employee benefits to compete for talent in a challenging job market.
We were pleased to share how several years ago we challenged ourselves to look at employee benefits differently which today is known as Universal Benefit Account. We knew back then that by breaking down all those legislation silos and developing an administrative technology solution and integrated customer experience, that we could give employers and employees the flexibility they need to meet their diverse needs, rapidly respond to new legislation, and deliver a customer centric experience.
In addition to our innovation and our expertise in employee benefits, Viewpoint also liked that TASC values helping people. The idea of helping people is front and center in our mission statement, “Improve the health, wealth, and well-being of our customers, employees, and community.” We take helping people seriously. We help our customers save money in taxes, ensure they get access to medical care they desperately need, give our customers easy access to the money they set aside for their out-of-pocket expenses, and challenge legislation or rules that we do not believe is in the best interest of our customers.
