Madison, WI (December 7, 2017) – TASC has been named a bronze winner in the Most Socially Responsible Company of the Year category in Best in Biz Awards, the only independent business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications in North America. The seventh annual program was particularly hotly contested, with more than 650 entries from an impressive array of public and private companies of all sizes and from a variety of industries and geographic regions in the U.S. and Canada.
TASC is a consistent leader for charitable giving, regularly winning honors for various employee-organized fundraising efforts including American Red Cross®, the United Way and more. TASC gives a percentage of the year’s total corporate revenue to local charities every year. In addition, TASC gives employees up to five days a year of paid time for volunteering and donates $5 per hour to any charity at which a TASC employee volunteers during non-work hours.
In 2016, TASC was selected by the GiveBack Foundation to be the service provider for the U.S. Federal Government’s Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC is a workplace giving program that currently serves more than 6 million federal government employees and retirees. The GiveBack Foundation was awarded the CFC contract in 2016.
“TASC’s enthusiasm for doing the right thing has not only had an obvious impact on our communities, it has also help create a genuine spirit of teamwork and dedication among TASC’s employees,” says Dan Rashke, TASC CEO. “Being recognized with a Best in Biz Award further ensures that philanthropy will remain a way of life that’s instilled in the corporate culture of all TASC’s employees”
“Judging the Most Socially Responsible Company of the Year category in this year’s Best in Biz Awards was nearly impossible. These companies set the bar for best practices in the corporate world,” said Gina Jordan, WLRN-Miami Herald News Tallahassee Bureau. “It’s difficult to choose a winner when they’re all doing so much good. Kudos to the leaders and employees who are making a positive difference.”
