Total Administrative Services Corporation
Corporate philanthropy
Our commitment to the community and helping those in need is at the heart of what we do. We are honored to share our success by giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Giving back is ingrained in our identity. Our efforts align with the needs of our communities, harness the passions of our employees, and support our Mission. We aspire to lead by example and inspire others to make a difference as well.
Our philanthropy strategy has two focus areas:
Employee-championed: Requests for support of organizations in which our employees are actively involved.
Mission-aligned: Requests from organizations aligned to our focus areas of health, education, and basic needs.
Within the focus areas listed below, our charitable contributions can be used for event sponsorship, program support, administrative costs, or capacity building. Average grant size is around $2,500, and applications should be submitted at least two months prior to when funds are needed.
Health
We support organizations and programs dedicated to equitable access to health care for underserved populations, supporting families facing critical illnesses or who have experienced trauma, and ensuring mental health resources and care.
Education
We support programs focused on academic success and educational attainment of students from kindergarten to high school graduation that reduces the opportunity gap and equips students to graduate career and community ready.
Essential Needs
Food and housing insecurity are both deeply connected to health and education challenges. Living on the street or in a homeless shelter exacerbates existing health problems and can cause new ones. We provide financial support to organizations addressing housing and/or food insecurity with preference given to organizations who have a health or education connection.

Our philanthropic commitment
Our Community Engagement
We believe supporting the charitable efforts of our employees is one of our most valuable benefit offerings. Our goal is supporting our employees and their communities while making TASC a great place to work.
Paid Volunteer Time
One of our unique benefit offerings is paid employee volunteer time. Each employee receives 40 paid hours annually to dedicate to community service during business hours. We support the causes that are important to our employees.
We’ve seen entire TASC departments tackling the evening rush at local food pantries, joining forces for national disaster relief efforts, and even founding their own charitable organizations. Our employees’ dedication and initiative truly inspire us all.
Dollars for Doers
Our Dollars for Doers program encourages employees to volunteer during non-working hours. For every hour of volunteering outside of work hours, we donate money into their giving account that they can re-gift to a nonprofit organization.
Employee Championed Donations
We also donate generously to causes our employees care about and are involved. Employees can request support for their non-profit’s events, programs, or even a matching gift for their fundraising efforts (charity runs, walks, bike rides, etc.)
In-Kind Services
In-Kind Services
By donating our benefit administration services, we enable nonprofit employees to pay less in taxes, making their paychecks stretch further. This support also helps organizations save money, allowing them to invest more in their missions. By offering these valuable employee benefits, nonprofits can attract and retain dedicated employees who are committed to improving our communities.
Our In-Kind Program:
- Provides Employee Benefit Administration: We offer benefit administration services to charitable organizations that may not have access to them otherwise.
- Attracts and Retains Passionate Employees: These benefits help nonprofits draw and keep employees who are passionate about their mission.
- Reduces HR Burden: Organizational leaders can focus more on mission-based programming and less on HR tasks.
- Saves Money: The savings can be redirected into furthering the philanthropic mission.
TASC Family Foundation
Dan & Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation
Mission
The Dan & Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation strives to be a catalyst for community growth so our neighbors have increased opportunity to achieve their full potential. We invest in innovative and collaborative solutions in the areas of education, health, and human services.
History
Dan and Patti were each raised by caring, generous parents who instilled the responsibility to give back to the communities that promote their individual success. Dan and Patti each serve on the boards of local organizations and support programs, services, capital campaigns, and events through TASC philanthropy efforts.
Patti and Dan founded the Dan & Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation in 2009 to magnify their impact in the Greater Madison area and beyond, and establish a legacy of giving in their own family. The Rashke children now serve on the Foundation Board of Directors and actively participate in the grant-making process.
TASC Cares for Kids
Dependent Care FSA
Parents with children in full-time child care are spending on average $15,000 per year for infant care, $11,000 for toddler care and $4,400 for after school care. Child care costs are a huge expense for working parents, but with a Dependent Care FSA, working parents can save on average $100 a month.
Child Care Subsidies (also called vouchers and fee assistance) help families pay for childcare expenses. Learn more about the Federal, State and local subsidy programs.
The Greater Give
The Greater Give is nonprofit organization founded to compel more giving by cultivating a movement of shared responsibility in the workplace. Every day, working Americans should feel inspired to give back, and we believe that their employers should have the tools and resources to help them.

We employers easily implement workplace giving initiatives to empower the Everyday Philanthropist®. We support businesses by educating employers on strategic philanthropy, advocating for changes in public policy, and connecting like-minded businesses.
The Greater Give is working to advance the Everyday Philanthropist Act – a bill to establish Flexible Giving Accounts (FGA), pretax payroll deductions that would make charitable giving easier for Americans. Learn more about our efforts.
Everyday Philanthropy
YOU CAN MAKE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF YOUR EMPLOYEES AND THEIR COMMUNITIES, WHETHER YOU'RE A SMALL BUSINESS OR A LARGE CORPORATION.
TASC is here to share our extensive expertise on how you can empower your employees to do more and give back as community champions.
Many employees wish they had more time to volunteer or participate in volunteering events. Here are a few ways you can make that possible for your employees:
- Paid Volunteer Time Off: Offer paid time off to volunteer with registered 501(c)(3) organizations. During uncertain times the use of these hours can be extended to other charitable ideas and events to help ordinary people.
- Tax Deductible Longer-Term Paid Volunteer Time Off: Similar to hours of paid Volunteer Time Off, the wages and benefits deployed to work in support of 501(c)(3) organizations is tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense according to the US Internal Revenue Code. The length of time for which this would be considered a normal business operating expense is a slightly more fuzzy area of the tax law, eventually this expense will not be considered an ordinary or necessary operating expense for your business.
- Dollars For Doers Program: Allow employees who volunteer after normal work hours to take advantage of financial donations made by the employer to the employee’s favorite 501(c)(3) charity organization based on how many volunteer hours that employee logs after hours.
- Individual Giving Accounts: Allow employees to make donations to non-profit organizations of their choice through payroll deductions.
- Donor Advised Funds (DAF): Utilize DAFs to enable philanthropists to support a wide range of charitable causes effectively and efficiently. Read more on DAFs.
Implementing these strategies can foster a culture of giving and enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Let’s work together to make a positive difference.
